All Life Is Precious

Your Life is Precious. Your Future is Precious.

Your whole life is before you. You will face many choices that can have a profound impact on your life. You've probably already made some of these choices. How to live your life. Things that are important to you. Things that you want your life to stand for. Principles that you believe in.

Your choice on a high school major or where to go to college (and beyond) is often determined by what you want to do in a career. Typically, we don't pause to consider the fact that God has a purpose and destiny for us. He created us unique and full of promise to accomplish something signficant and with lasting impact. The Bible says that He formed us in our mother's womb, and knit together our innermost parts. He has a plan for us, to give us a hope and a future, to prosper us and not to harm us. Just as we consult an owner's manual from a manufacturer when we want to know more about how something is made, and how it is supposed to function, we can consult our Creator when we want to understand our purpose and how we "are wired" for best results. God cares sooo much about you. So do we, at LifeCare.

You probably discovered early in life that choosing friends that reflect your core values will help you live a life that is most consistent with who you want to be, and how you want to live.

A good friendship is a training ground for sacrificial love. God designed friendship to be a blessing to you. God cares very much about the choices you make about your friends, and with your friends.

Perhaps no choice you make is more important than choosing a companion with whom you want to walk through life's ups and downs, life's joys and sorrows. You carefully choose what character traits to look for in people you date. And you make daily decisions around those core choices, such as:

  • Where to go Saturday night.
  • Who to be alone with.
  • When to be alone.
  • When to be intimate.
God has a lot to say about that, too, to bless you with lasting love in the treasured sanctuary of a devoted marriage. Marriage is precious to God, because you are precious to Him, and He wants His best for you.

Your body is precious, and your future is precious. More and more people are choosing abstinence before marriage, because:

  • It avoids devastating consequences in our bodies
  • It removes pressure from dating relationships
  • It uncomplicates dating, so that the relationship itself can be developed, before intimacy begins
  • It prevents the agonizing situation of an unplanned pregnancy, and the subsequent choices regarding 1) carrying that baby and keeping it, 2) carrying that baby and finding an adoptive home, or 3) aborting that baby
  • It prevents the inevitable internal guilt and justification cycle from rushing ahead
  • It eliminates the need to explain consequences to loved ones now, or later in life
  • It honors God, and it is His perfect will for their lives, 1) creating great protection from heartaches and very real and significant consequences, and 2) providing divine blessings of joy in marriage
Many young people imagine that life must stop after a baby comes along (although others imagine, wrongly, that if they just had a baby, all that's wrong would be fixed). There is no question that a baby is a lot of work, and a big commitment, but a baby is also a gift from God.

For birthmothers who choose the adoption path, there is no greater gift to a childless couple.

All the choices, and all the impacts on your life can be overwhelming to you, at this moment. We, at LifeCare Services, are here to help you, and walk with you as you face the future.
